27_Feb_2010 Setting to sea

Aberdeen

I have a lot of admiration those who take to the seas,
on days when I would choose to be at home in front of a roaring fire....
which indeed I was, shortly after taking this shot!!

Great capture, Stewart...nicely timed with the shutter finger to get that spindrift. I share your admiration for these guys this isn't a job for a desk-johnny like me :o)

I can't say it appeals to me!

Excellent action shot - once talking to a crew member of one of these standby vessels he thought of it as being a relatively easy number in comparison to the North Sea trawlers

There's something specially chilling about setting to sea in the North sea, perhaps it's a memory of all the old Naval exploits , nice shot.

Yes, there made of stern stuff those lads. Worth getting out for this shot
