Having fallen in love with Kauai's north shore last September, my wife and I made a repeat visit August 1 - 10 of this year. We again stayed in one of the Hale Makai Cottages, located in the remote NW corner of this tropical paradise, separated from Hanalei by five miles and seven one-lane bridges, and just a few miles from where the road ends at Ke'e Beach. Content just being there, we didn't venture beyond Princeville more than twice in the 10 days, so most of the images in this gallery were shot within a 10-15 mile stretch of coastline.
