Wanda 2 01_14_07.jpg

Another from our very brief set of photographs taken the 14th. At 10°F Wanda is only good for a few minutes outside. We took a few photos and then went for a drive to warm up. Then it was back for a few more pics.

The light here was great. We'll have to do more photos downtown when things warm up.

The sun is over Wanda's left shoulder. About three feet in front of her is a warm white brick wall. It was completely in the sun; so, is reflecting warm light back at her.

Bill, nice light indeed. It looks like the main light came from right behind her, but plenty of light is being reflected onto her face as well. Did this happen because of say a snow drift in front of her that reflected light back at her? Or did you use a reflector?

I could have easily gone to 100 ISO, that is for sure. With the Canon digital SLR cameras the noise level difference between 100 and 200 ISO is just barely perceivable. We had been shooting in the shade and daylight so it was easier to just go with 200 ISO and then not worry much about shutter speed. You 'll notice that very few of my pictures are taken at 100 ISO.

Bill,

I was wondering, On what looks like a bright day you use ISO 200. What was the reasoning for this?

Please do NOT continue to expose your lovely wife to this cold environment !

I like most of your work, but i think in this photo there is too much space behind Wanda, and too little in front. She is kind of "moving out of the picture". And this would be a damn shame.
Looking forward to see more of your expirements with "fashion" photography look.

I can see Wanda was actually quite cold. Don't let you model get cold, Bill. Hehe, nice shot as always!
