Wanda Enjoying the Rides End 11_19_06.jpg

Some of you may remember the rocks under "Wanda's trees". Over the years we have taken more than a few pictures on those rocks. This past summer the view from those rocks has changed greatly. What was once hay fields is now new houses. The city has rapidly moved in around us.

Our home of 12 years has been sold and we have spent the last week packing for our move to a temporary home next week. Sometime next year we will move again into a new home we are building. We're going to miss this area. But, we have been missing our old view all summer long.

The joy and excitement you both share together has left a lasting impact on many of us. My thoughts are with you both as your holidays will be filled with vivid memories of the past intermixed with wondrous surpise toward your future. One thing for sure is that the magic you both share will burn brightly no matter where you park your bike! Hopefully we all will be able to remain avid fans of the one of the most charismatic models and her most talented photographer husband for years to come! Bill, you are forever enchanted by a truly wonderful woman!

By the way....the move wouldn't be to that ranch house you always talked about now....would it?

Good luck, God bless, and Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Great shots & I feel your pain regarding your view, I once had a 160 degree view of a gorgeous bay surrounded by primarily bush covered hills, over the last 4 years it's turned into a view of houses on hills surrounding a gorgeous bay. I will move on soon happy knowing I lived somewhere fantastic, but a bit sad that a once awesome spot has been significantly & permanently compromised.

Wanda and Bill, sorry to hear of the changes. It is so sad to leave behind so many memories, yet at the same time you two enter into another new chapter together.Best wishes in the moves ahead,I don't envy the packing and unpacking you face, and I hope your holidays will still be filled with joy.

Bill/Wanda,
Your story about new houses/cities moving in next to your house is one of many stories across our great country these days. While progress may in some cases be a wonderful thing, it is not always.
Yet you both seem to be resilient in the way you live and enjoy your lives. I wish you well as you turn a page and move into your new house at some point in the near future. Have a "Happy Thanksgiving" as we begin a new holiday season and good luck with your new living quarters.

As long as you've got Wanda, you'll always have a great view.

Dear Wanda and Bill:

I'm sorry that you're losing your view. Of course I'm certain that your new home will have a lovely view as well or you wouldn't be building a new house there. Your work as always is always great, even though to be honest I don't usually notice the backgrounds when Wanda is in the picture. This time though, since you've limited her to a virtual seated sillouette, in bulky riding shirt, riding helmet, and goggles, I actually got to take in the beautiful sunset, somewhat obscured by the soon to be occupied house of the people who will get to enjoy the sunsets after you're gone.

Perfect. Good balancing act on the bike as well!

Bill- I've been a long time admirer of your work and on many occasions your photos have moved me. This is the first time that I've posted a comment. It's a sad thing when you loose something you've enjoyed over the years - even when it's something as simple as a view. This one really grabbed my attention as I have been hearing the earth moving equipment knocking down trees and moving dirt just over the hill from my house...knowing that it won't be long before the town has reached my quiet Alaskan home....

Thanks to you both, Wanda and Bill, for all the great images...I look forward to many more.
