Driven Intensity 04_16_06.jpg

Wanda put in an eleven mile Training ride today. She is really taking her commitment to the American Diabetes Association "Tour de Cure" cycling event seriously. When Wanda sets goals, she is a totally driven person. Her team signed on for the 25 mile course; but, they are having their arms twisted to do the 60 mile course. I'm sure she will be ready for either.

Again if you would like to sponsor her and
donate a little to the American Diabetes Association here is the link http://tour.diabetes.org/site/TR?pg=personal&fr_id=3310&px=2819862

Here are a few more from today's ride.

Jim,

Yes, I knew you were kidding. (smile) So I have TWO excuses to use when I do something ditzy! I have landed on My head too many times AND I am blonde. And believe Me, when I have to, I DO use those excuses to My advantage. (grin)

By the way, thanks for your support and to everyone else who has been kind enough to sponsor Me for this ride.

What's another brain concussion, you're a blonde anyway! ( you know I'm kidding, right?) Best of luck on your ride.

Wes,

yep, I learned My lesson with the roller blade accident. I don't need a third brain concussion, 2 in one lifetime is enough. So I'll protect what's left of My brain and be a good girl and wear My helmet.

Wish I could have been hiking with you , but I can't be in two places at one time! I had an Easter Egg hunt to host!

Hope there are no accedents like on the rollerblades. Good you got a helmet!
You missed out on 14 miles of hiking today!
The biking looks almost as fun though.

BTW..I have the same bike! :-)

Nice shot, she looks like a pro. Last year I did the "World's most beautiful bike ride", 72 miles around Lake Tahoe. I will tell you...you can't train enough. My butt hurt for a week! The hills were killer.

OK....great shot(s)...but the shirt doesn't match the bike...the nails weren't done...tsk, tsk, is Wanda losing her flair for color? *grin* I couldn't resist that one. Hope the two of you had a wonderful Easter, and I wish Wanda all the best whether she ends up doing the 25 mile or the 60 mile; if she chooses the 60, I'm wagering she'd make it.

Take care.

No kidding aside, this could easily be on a cover of a bike magazine. Great capture and composition.
