Bald Eagles 01_30_06.jpg

I spent the day up in the canyon again. It has been so fun to watch and photograph the eagles. Hope you don't mind the lack of variety lately. There was another freshly killed deer that they had been feeding on. One of these two really needs to clean his face. I couldn't find a way to get anywhere near the kill without being spotted by the birds.

Here is another shot from today http://www.pbase.com/image/55512460

They look fierce as we often imagine our national symbol should. Great shot!

Magnificent, one question, why are they called Bald Eagles?
I wish I had as much cover on my head :-)
Question two, Where is your 'Guest', the one who said you don't get many comments when you don't post Wanda pics.

Perfect capture.

Yea, I can see why you wouldn't want to get spotted by one of them! I mean: aggressive demeanor, sharp talons, blood all over his face - yep I'm hiding.
Fabolous shot though.

Bill,
Don't apoligize for showing more eagle pic's, they're magnificant birds to watch and it's great to see the shot's you get of them. Some people never get to see them at all, and alot of people (myself included) drive hour's to try and get a glimpse of them. Thanks for sharing the beautiful scenery you have so close to home. Of course, if you get tired of shooting birds, I don't think anyone would mind if you shoot more pictures of Wanda : )
