I needed a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. I needed to head to the canyon, the back country, the wilderness to restore my soul to its proper balance. Even if it would only be a short trip with the threating storm, I needed to go.
As the day went on the clouds thickened and dropped down the ridges. And after a short while Mother Nature started to spit her icy snow. First softly, with big floating flakes. The kind you like to catch on your tongue when you were a child and still do when you think no one is watching. We stayed as long in the canyon as we thought prudent. Then like these eagles; we retreated to our home to sit out the worsening storm.
It was a good day.
