Wanda03_17_05.jpg

Utah

I took half of this photo late last Spring. Today is a little cold and gray here n Utah. I felt like I needed a reminder of Spring and Summer.

Wanda's photo was taken today in the studio with the 20D with the 24-70mm f/2.8 lens at 46mm, 1/100sec, f/11, 200ISO. To keep things looking right we just positioned the key light about where the sun was in relationship to the butterfly and then just add a fill behind Wanda.

Here is the un cropped version

Canon EOS 20D ,Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM
1/320s f/6.3 at 200.0mm iso200 with Flash full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto

I thought this was a real fun and creative idea! I have always wanted to be as pretty as a butterfly! The most difficult thing about posing for this image was holding My arms up at the right angle. We did several shots and after repeatedly holding My arms up in that position I felt like I had been to the gym and had a workout! I felt real weird posing for this one because I was nekkid of course! Before Bill put the butterly body on to mine, the image was NOT flattering at all! That part I DO remember! (laffin)

Kudos Bill, I don’t know where you get the ideas from but this is great and very well executed. Make sure you keep your net handy, you wouldn’t want this one to get away! ;-)
Oh and btw, I agree that the closure crop is better.

Gobsmacking picture! Don't worry, that's a compliment. (UK slang, it means amazing)

When I saw this thumbnail, I was shock and a bit upset, I thought you had left out wanda, but looking closely, I see her there, and instead of being shocked, I was amazed, So amazed, you do some really amamzing work!

Very inspired idea and excellent work. I too remember that poster. Those were the days.

I wonder how many folks here are old enough to remember the classic Hippie poster in the late 60's early 70's of the FRONT side of this image, ... orange butterfly with a nude woman. Ahhh, ... the memories of those years!

I first glanced at it and went, Wanda what...
I had to look again to notice what was going on here. Cool idea!
