Wanda11_24_04.jpg

OK...not too weird or wacky today. We're getting ready for Thanksgiving. Well maybe this is a little weird. Wanda makes a fantastic apple pie but she only does it about twice a year.

The "domestic Wanda" shots were always a nice break from the glamour shots. I do have to laugh though, because it is so seldom that I actually attempt to create something in the kitchen. I was quite flattered recently when Bill posted a picture of a slice from one of My apple pies and a viewer actually asked for the recipe!

I agree, Pepper makes this shot! She just LOVES pie crust. I always make extra so she can have some "treats".

Sorry Wanda, the dog steals this one!

I did shoot this RAW but the low noise level is pretty normal for the Canon 20D. This is pretty much just straight out of the camera. I converted the file with Adobe Photoshop CS Raw Converter with the levels at default. I didn't need to run any other noise reduction software. Images at 800ISO and below are very clean and 1600 and 3200 ISO are still great if you run something like Neat Image or Noise Ninja.

If you like to photograph with natural or available light the Canon 20D is amazing.

iso800! Wow! How do you do it?? Was this originally shot in RAW?
I must admit that this as a very appropriate photo for the day. Happy Thanksgiving from the Whittaker's of Reading, MA!

The stunning part of this picture is the dog watching evry move of Wandas hands and living with the hope that a piece will be reached over. God knows how much I miss that since my dog is gone.

I save some room for that pie!

Bill and Wanda....your dog looks a lot like ours during cooking time. (I guess they all do!)

ok Bill, you missed it so I guess I'll have to say it: Your sweetie pie makes a sweetie pie.
What can I say, I'm a huge Wanda fan. Her husband seems a pretty nice fellow too. Happy Thanksgiving Bates family-we're doing the same thing tonight. Cooking away!
