Wanda10_22_04.jpg

Today Wanda thought we should do a "before" picture. This is before any makeup and she hasn't curled her hair. Taking this picture and allowing it to be posted is a big step for Wanda. She usually won't so much as go out to the mailbox without having her hair and makeup done.

Looking back, I can't believe I actually had the courage to pose for this picture! Funny how a bit of make-up and curls can make Me feel pretty and how the lack of them makes Me feel "not so pretty". I must have been feeling more confident the day I suggested Bill take a picture of Me in My natural state. All things considered, this image isn't so bad.

Wanda, you look better without all the makeup anyway. =)

Great jean shot...would love to see her in more jean pics.

We appreciate your bravery for this shot,
although there is no need to be afraid to show the natural beauty.

On the other side of the coin,
you are an absolute goddess with your makeup on,
and one hell of a woman for enduring that ritual every day for us.

We love you either way. =)

Bill - glad you posted Wanda's age again... Sheesh, perople should read all the posts before adding their own...

Wanda - you are so sweet to not get a perm just for your husband!!! (must love him heaps!!) I have natural curly hair & I love not having to do anything more then put a bit of gel in it.
Wm. Bates25-Oct-2004 16:20
Um...people. You really need to read more. Wanda is 43!!!
JY 25-Oct-2004 15:48
55!?!? I can't believe she's even made it to her 40s!!
Guest 25-Oct-2004 07:49
I did believe Wanda is 55? Sorry......

Bill just confirmed what I was thinking about Wanda's age. She looks like 35 to 38 in first view, but knowing that she has elder children and also looking very close at her face lets you see that she is not that young anymore but for an age of 43 she is in real wonderful shape and this needs for sure a lot of care and work, sports and correct nutrition. The body is a piece of sculpture that one can conserve in a good state and there is no reason that, even getting old, the body should not look good and beautiful despite of the fact that one can cheat with the external aspect.
I look myself some 10 to 15 years younger, but this is also due to my lifetime sports and the nutrition that fits with that sports. This is a rule that does not applies to everybody too. Some live in just any way and still look good, some other live healthy and get a cancer at young age. So, is there a rule to follow ?

Wanda is 55? I don't think she is that age. I guess at most 50.

Am i right?

you are a pretty woman.

Susi,
It generally takes Me about an hour to get those curls. I have to wash it, dry it, roll it, then comb it. My hair won't hold a curl unless it is freshly washed! I have to leave the rollers in for about 10 minutes and then use TONS of hairspray to get the curls to stay. I use to "perm" My hair, but Bill complained mightily about perms. "They make your hair stink, they damage your hair, your hair feels yucky" and so on and so on. I haven't had a perm since 1992! Damn I miss those days of showering, applying some hair gel and then just letting My hair dry naturally. It was sooooooo much easier back then. But I like to give Bill his way, so the extra time and effort is worth it to make him happy. (smile)

Wanda - you look great. Thanks for posting this picture. Your a normal person!!! I always wondered about your har. How long does it take you to get those beautiful curls you always have? Your hair is amazing!!!

Ut oh...we better not start the rumor she is 55. We better stick to reality and remind everyone Wanda's beauty has graced this earth for only 43 years.
Guest 24-Oct-2004 14:16
Wanda,

I don't know why you have to "always" have makeup on. You look naturally good, and especially for being 55 years old. I don't know who told me to say that, let me think...I think it was Bill. Yeah, I'm 95% sure it was.

Bill, I have seen your couch in your pics. Looks comfortable. Good luck.

:-)

I can't relate to the make-up thing because I hardly ever ware it....I drive my mom
crazy! :-) But I do know how hard it is to do things we are uncomfortable with! Way to become a stronger person!! I do have to add Wanda, your fears are unfounded because you are a very beautiful woman :-)
Ian Chappell23-Oct-2004 19:50
Hey I can relate to this Bill... Deb won't answer the phone unless she's just redone her lippy!!
Jathy 23-Oct-2004 12:45
looks like a total different woman! make up can really change the world...!!!
Guest 23-Oct-2004 11:44
Tell Wanda there is nothing wrong with her. She is a beautiful woman and she looks fine in this pictures. She has beautiful hair and skin and she should be proud.
Guest 23-Oct-2004 08:20
wearing make up too much is bad for skin. My job is a beauty consultant. I can see how thick make up you usually have. That will worse your skin.
Wesley Aston23-Oct-2004 03:39
Hey, I know you!
RTHawk23-Oct-2004 00:55
Wanda...very nice to see your Natural Look...

Beauty from the inside out...Make-up only enhances what is already there...

Hope the names have not confused you...

I always appreciate yours and William's responses here...

Seems to be a few frightened and repressed people commenting...

William and Wanda it is a joy and pleasure to visit here each time and see what the two of you have created together....
Guest 23-Oct-2004 00:46
Wanda....You are beautiful like this!! Your face is gorgeous and the hair looks good too!! Tthe next thing I'm going to say, I mean in the BEST possible way, because the person I am going to compare you to is a HERO of mine, and I always thought she was gorgeous....You sort of look like....(Dare I say it??) Marsha Brady!! MARSH MARSHA MARSHA!!!!! XXXXX

You don't really need that makeup, Wanda. Looks great. As I have said, I like the natural photos. This is a nice one.
