OK, the morning after photo or more accurate the afternoon after. After what you may ask? Partying and gambling until 5:30am, is what. Beyond that, "what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas".

Canon EOS 20D ,Canon 50mm f/1.8

Bonjour !

It was always difficult to figure out what we were going to do for an image each day when we were traveling. Bill always came up with something though! Another easy pose. . .just close My eyes and drift off to sleep!

Great shot, amazing woman! You are one lucky devil. Not only do you have this magnificent woman to capture with your camera as you please, but you do it with such style, she couldn't ask for anything more ... well ... sort of anyway :-)

Peter, the use of the 50mm was by design. Photography inside casinos is prohibited. (although pretty tolerated by the security staff when it comes to mom and pop with a little point and shoot)

I have been told in the past by security when photographing with my 10D with battery grip and a 28-135IS lens that I couldn't take pictures and it has happened in more than one casino. Big camera and somewhat big lens and a flash all draw attention.

So, for this trip it was strip the 20D down. Without the battery grip and with the little 50mmf/1.8 mounted it almost looks like any average tourist type point and shoot camera. Also, the 50f/1.8 is great in low light. With the good high iso performance of the 20D and the lowlight capabilities of the 50f/1.8 I had no problem operating without the flash. I did have both bodies and a full compliment of lenses and flashes in the room safe.

We had zero problems this trip.

Bill,

All but one shots from your Vegas posted are from the 50mm lens. Is that coincidental?

GREAT Shot! The skin tones on white depict a pristine, angelic, sensuality about the shot. Lighting is perfect. Did you have to edit this in PS? Was she actually asleep? And if she was, it will probably be the easiest of all 362 shots when your done. Welcome back! And by the way Bill, kudos for the way you have been handling the negative, contrite, immature comments. It is true your subject is captivating, but remember she is captured by you! Peace my friends and keep POD'ing!

Great shot...really like this one. Natural pose, but very striking. I take it Vegas was a little fun? Hope you won enough for those lenses, Bill.

John, this was natural window light. I tried it black and white and just didn't like it all that much.

Welcome back to both of you. This is one of the better figure studies you've done since you started...not sure why it strikes me as so, other than it is so natural. Clean lines, warm tones...it's not forced. Some like this in B&W...diffused slightly, with a "cleaner" background...and perhaps Wanda with her head resting on her arm, looking into the camera..would also be a good study, particularly in the studio or home where you could play with the lighting a bit. The only reason I say looking into the camera...and I think you've mentioned this before, Bill...she has incredible eyes. Was this a bounce flash or natural light?
