Wanda08_03_04a.jpg

Today Wanda and I disagreed a little on which to use as our picture a day photo. She really liked this one and I think it is very pretty. In some way the picture in the "Picture a Day of Wanda Gallery" just said much more to me and was what I was looking for when I had her pose tonight. Here is the link to my favorite http://www.pbase.com/image/32166524 . It isn't as pretty and the light isn't spot on but I really like it.

Canon EOS 10D ,Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM
1/100s f/5.6 at 50.0mm iso200 with Flash full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto

They are both wonderful Bill. The lighting is excellent and nothing more can be said about the model. Wonderful work both of you as I know the work of the model is as important to the image as the photographers.

We did this as a Black and white and really decided with Wanda's blue eyes it just was better in color.

For anyone that might be interested here is how I convert to black and white. I do all my adjustments to get the best color image. Then I go to image> adjust> channel mixer. Click monochrome. I slide in levels about red 40-45, green 28-32, and blue about 28-32. I will slide them around a little until it looks about how I want. Keep close to having them all add to 100. I then usually go to image>adjust>brightness and contrast. I find a little more brightness and contrast looks better. Next with Adobe CS I go to image>adjust>photo-filter 85 warming filter and go to about 5%. I like the very slightly warmer tone to my black and whites. I find this looks much better than just desaturating the photo.

Yes only one key light here with a white reflector behind her to lighten the hair just a little.

Wanda looks wonderful her...

Nice photo...I like it as well...Would make a great B&W photo as well...

Increasing the saturation and then slight increase in contrast...then reveral to B&W...

But you have done this many times...

Thanks...each day is inspiration...Looks like only one Key light here...Thanks for the lighting set up shot as well

Oh this is beautiful. I do also prefer this one -- her expression and pose is exquisite.

My vote says the "eyes" have it . . . can't beat those baby blues! Both shots are lovely but I prefer this one. Thank you, Bill and Wanda, for this wonderful gallery.

My vote goes to this one, never argue with a lady.
A wise man once said -
'A woman has the last word in any argument, anything a man says after that is a new argument'

Yup, the more I look at, the more I like this one a LOT more.
Even though I really liked the b&w, the skin tones and her eyes are perfect in the color version.
This is your keeper.
