Wanda08_02_04a.jpg

Wanda and I thought it was time to do something kind of artsy-fartsy. So, here is a nice, classic, artsy-fartsy implied nude in black and white.

It was taken with just one flash that was shot through the umbrella from just out of the frame. The closeness of the diffused light allowed it to wrap around just a little so the shadows would have softer edges.

Canon EOS 10D ,Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM
1/100s f/5.6 at 34.0mm iso200 with Flash full exif

other sizes: small medium large original

I think this photo is just beautiful. I especially like the shadows and the model's long flaxen tendrils highlighted by the light.... What I'm curious about however is why people call shots of a beautiful and quite obviously nude woman.. "implied" nude ;) *friendly poke in the ribs* The best to both of you. Nice gallery!

You should try more of these! The lighting is fantastic and of course the model is extraordinary!

It was really difficult for Me to pose nude! But Bill promised that none of My "bits and pieces" would be showing, so I gave it a try. So what are you suppose to do when posing nude? Smile? Frown? Stick out your tongue? Some viewers commented that I looked "bored", "pissed off" or even "tired". Bill instructed Me not to smile so I didn't. The expression on My face is apparently what I get when I am thinking "oh boy, I'm really going to take some heat for THIS One!" I was pleasantly surprised and really didn't have too many scolding comments from friends and family and to those who did give Me grief about being "naked on the Internet" I simply replied, " It's NUDE, not naked!" (grin) Borrowed that line from the movie "Calendar Girls".

Hey, I like Artsy-Fartsy.
Wm. Bates 03-Aug-2004 17:08
Gary, a post of me in the same pose would scare children and small animals.

Gary,
Let's not!

Wanda looks great in this image. Standing behind me, my wife said, "Now let's see Bill in the same pose!" :-)

I love the expression of Wanda, Bill, and the light in this B&W is just perfect. The highlights and shades are matching in a perfect harmony. I think it is difficult to make a better shot.

She gives me pissed off for free almost daily.
Wanda 03-Aug-2004 03:37
Howard, that is not My "bored" nor My "pissed off" look. That is My "Bill told Me not to smile look." ;-)

The lighting is excellent here (I've yet to learn about how to use umbrellas and whatnot). Perfect b&w toning as well
Howard Sandler 03-Aug-2004 02:51
Great lighting and pose. I think Wanda's expression is a bit off, however. You need to be a $10000 a day supermodel to have that bored pissed-off look ;)
Larry Ahern 03-Aug-2004 01:57
Superb!

She only need to sit for this photo. I don't think I'll get any action photos from her for a few more days.
Gary Ingram 03-Aug-2004 01:42
She has recovered well from yesterday's hike !!!
