Thank you for the info Bill. I wanted to ask as he looked so wonderfully close. I am a big wolf advocate and whenever my wife and I go skiing in Banff Alberta I spend an equal amount of time trying to get a glimps of the wolves up there. I have had tremendous luck two years in a row but unfortunately no decent camera equipment or long enough lens to get a good shot. We have friends up in Ontario Canada that have a 100% timber wolf as a pet and I have had the pleasure of being up close to that animal and to take a few snapshots. Just an amazing experience.

Well he was in a field...the field across the street from our home. Now the other half of the story he was a person from across towns wolf that had gotten out of his pen. We got him rounded up and penned in our yard with a little food for bait. He is only sort of tame or friendly with strangers but no he isn't a wild tundra wolf.

Bill, Was this a wild wolf in the field or a contained animal?
