I need a little help with an ID on this bird of prey. This hawk type bird landed on the light poll down the street from our house. The old Canon 10D and my 100-400 IS L lens were sitting in my desk. I grabbed them and went down and snapped a few photos. We're just not sure what type of hawk or falcon we had visit our neighborhood. It was mostly gray with a white neck patch and some barring on the chest and under the tail.
