Hmmm Dern Lucky DOG!

No matter what angle the camera captures Lady Bates, Queen of PBase...The pictures or should I say PORTRAITS of this beauty of a lady always come out 100% perfecto!

Wanda,

I agree that love is not expessed in the ring itself, if it was either there would be less divorce or a lot less rings sold. I don't always wear mine for a lot of the same reasons, when I cycled, dangerous work, etc. I noticed yours when you were doing the Pic a Day and it almost became like the superman toy in Seinfeld, it was always there, I just had to look for it.

The only reason I commented was I had to get my wifes fixed recently and I never realized how much a part of her it had become until she did not have it. She was unhappy also. When this picture came up it made me realize that as a marriage matures, and the people in it do also, how much a seemingly small item means so much. Maybe it does not mean Love in itself, but it sure speaks highly of the wearer when it has to be a part of every wardrobe (exceptions noted and permitted) :-)

Just to be clear, I did like the picture, You and Bill always do a wonderful job and someday when I get back out to Utah I will try to take you and Bill to dinner. There is an explanation to my appreciation that is too long for this forum.

JSdad,

Amazing to me the small details some people notice. Now and again you will see me without my wedding ring because I take it off from time to time depending upon what I am doing. During the cycling season I don't wear it because it pinches my finger inside my cycling glove. While baking pies I take it off so that I don't get dough all over in the setting. The weekend this picture was shot I was doing a temp job that required a lot of work with my hands and the ring would get hung up on things so I took it off so cuz I didn't want to damage the ring or my finger! I don't think the ritual/tradition of wearing a ring is what it takes to express ones love. In fact, when Bill and I got married, he was a machinist and it was too dangerous for him to even wear a ring. So we never bought one for him. Seemed like a huge waste of money, and looking back, when I think about the money we spent on my wedding ring, it makes me cringe. There were so many other things we needed at the time and I am sure there would have been a better way to spend those funds than on a shiny diamond.. I'll try to remember to put my ring on for the next photo, just so you can feel better!

I have to express my disappointment, not in the picture, as always it is great. But, it always makes me feel good to see the wedding ring that Wanda has on in every shot. My wife agrees to model for me because she loves me, and Wanda's rings always said the same thing to me for you two!

If you look in the dictionary for the term ageless beauty, you will find this picture of Wanda there.

Another wonderful shot of the two of them.... enjoy the wintery weather! Maybe after one of these winter storms you can do a "Wanda - the Snow Queen" series.
