Smith & Wesson Model 19 Combat Magnum .357 S&W Mag.

Just playing around with some natural light. This is my new to me, 50 plus year old, Smith & Wesson Model 19 Combat Magnum. It is in its original box with all the paper work and accesories including the original holster. The box has a Evaluaters Ltd. Quantico, Va. Ready for service sticker and the holsters is also marked Evaluaters Limited. Everything is in near new condition. I'll change that I'm sure.

Canon EOS 20D ,Canon 50mm f/1.8

other sizes: small medium large original auto

Hey Bill, I carried one of these for a lot of years with the Michigan State Police until they transitioned us all to Sig Sauers semi-autos in 1990. I still have mine but it's not nearly as good looking as this one. Mine shows a lot of holster wear on the barrel and cylinder but it's still a sweet shootin' wheel gun.

Being the former hippie that I am, I have to say Make Love Not War, ie. I much prefer pictures of Wanda to pictures of guns, no matter how artfully rendered they are :-)

Wheelgun thanks for the comment. What you're seeing at the back of the trigger isn't wear it is just how the pattern in the case color turned out in manufacturing. There is no wear on either side of the hammer or trigger. This is one finely tuned old Smith & Wesson.

Hey Bill
You may want to check the trigger for dragging on the frame. It's hard to tell but in your photo it looks like it's contacting the plate side. If so a .oo2 shim will correct it and you might want to check the hammer also for any witness marks.
Have followed your work since 04 and have found it first rate. Where would we be without the Wandas in our world.
