Wanda 08_28_09.jpg

Here is a quick snapshot of Wanda. We had Timber out working on grouse up near the top of Payson Canyon and I caught Wanda in the western cone flowers. The light was great and I couldn't resist stealing a quick photo. Composition wasn't great. I had the far right focus point active and just snapped off a few quick candid shots. The light was more important than slowing down for a better image and trying to recreate the moment.

I've often wondered how it can be that a candid of Wanda is always so much better than any posed shot with any other model. I finally realized that I just need to shut up and enjoy the view!

The photo is just perfect Bob! Your wife is an exquisite creature and any view of her is captivating, beautiful, and always welcome!

Bill, yo udono't have to have great composition when the subject is such a natural beauty. You two are simply great together. As always thanks for sharing your talents.

Hi Wanda,
Thanks for the explanation. So, there we have it, folks - another Mother Nature-style shot, with Wanda protecting the environment, as always!
And that's what we around the world all love about you, too, Wanda - the playful little child in you, always looking for the chocolate chip cookies in the cookie jar, and happy to share it with the world! Please keep up the great work, you two!
Bob.

Bob,

To answer your question, there was almost a natural path through the flowers where they weren't growing as thick. So I just gently moved through them and pushed them aside such that I didn't break the stems by walking on them. I enjoyed pretending I was a little kid and I had found a patch of wild chocolate drops! That's what those flowers look like to me. (grin)

Outstanding shot! Well done! Question: how did Wanda get in there among those western cone flowers, without trampling any of them around her? They are all standing upright, and to attention, from what I can see (can't say I blame them, really!).

Bill,
Great snapshot. Even if it was quick, you managed to capture a great shot of your soul mate.
