No, I didn't bring any Cuban cigars back with me ... I'm way too chicken to risk getting caught smuggling cigars. I also didn't smoke any Cuban cigars while in Mexico. Almost all of what you will find at the resorts and in stores in Mexico are counterfeit. The only place you are sure to get real Havana/Cuban cigars in Mexico is the La Casa de Habano store, which is Cuba's own store and the Duty Free Shop when leaving. There is a la Casa De Habano shop in Cancun but I didn't get a chance to stop by there because it was well out of the way from where we were staying.
