Fall Along the Lamar River 09_28_08.jpg

It was a picture perfect Fall day in Yellowstone. The morning started out a cold, crisp 30 degrees and warmed into the mid 60s. As is often the case there wasn't cloud in the deep blue sky.

So beautiful!!! Bill, I love your pics. Your pics always can tell everything.... season, feelings etc. You are not only a photographer, artist. You are an author too!

Absolutely stunning scenery! Reminds me of the scenery in Kevin Costner’s movie “Dancing with Dogs” … er … “Dancing with Wolves.” Actually, in all seriousness, I loved the movie and was surprised to learn a lot of Native American’s took offence to it. The story line was excellent, and I thought that it told the story of a Caucasian Man living with Native Americans in a powerful and fair way. The last time I was in Yellowstone was in mid June in 1996 after my son Christopher was killed in June of 1995. It was my very first visit to the park and I honestly didn’t want to come home! If I had stayed though, I would have never met, grew in love and married my wonderful wife Gerie. Things have a way for working out as they should I guess. I grew in love with Yellowstone and especially Bear Claw Mountain on the outskirts of Yellowstone, and I plan to go back at least once before I croak. I truly hope there’s another “Meet and Greet” in Yellowstone again next year, for I’m definitely going to make every effort to ride one of my motorcycles across country to participate! Just let me know the dates!

Somebody has to live in a place like this. I guess that your arm was twisted to do so....... Very nice photo.

Save some of that weather for us, Bill, we are only a couple of days behind you. Love the reflection!
