Nose Art

This B-24J pays tribute to an actual B-24J active in the Pacific Theater in WWII. The original aircraft returned home at the wars end
and was scrapped at Kingman, Arizona in 1946. The artwork was the largest ever created for decorating a combat aircraft, the dragons body extended the full length of the fuselage of the aircraft.

other sizes: small medium large original auto

Interesting art! I would have painted her just a little lower to make use of the rivet. ;-)

Nice shot of this piece of history. I have taken a few similar shots of vintage war planes and am always amazed at the "art of war". V
