Race Committee (RC) Notes: Thirty four (34) boats started in six (6) fleets. One (1) postponement of fifteen (15) minutes for start line reset. Wind shift & tide change made boat end favored later. Two (2) OCS cleared w/o fouls.

14:35 hrs - 15:00 hrs: A freighter crossed the course. RC saw no sailors interfere with commercial traffic. The vessel may have affected race results. The freighter made the RC twitchy.  We discussed pulling anchor due to the freighter’s proximity & course.

15:00 hrs approx: The anchor was dragging in the ebb; it broke free as the RC turned on the engine. The RC let out scope, but ... RC made VHF Channel 66 announcements and remained on station using the engine for Catalina 34 finishes using a shore bearing. RC reset the anchor later.

RC Pictures: No start pictures were taken. The camera was found semi-frozen in the freezer post-starts. I took the first few pics & the camera worked. Another RC gentleman took pictures. IMG EXIF time stamps are twenty four (24) seconds fast compared to NIST time, see last image.
