The SD4Wers take pride in our environment. We organized an event on Nov. 6, 2004 to clean up the area around Superstition Mountains OHV area. You'd be amazed at the amount of junk and trash we picked up. In just one short day we picked up 768 lbs. of basic trash, 2346 lbs of steel, 168 lbs of bottles and cans for a total of 3300 lbs of total GARBAGE. And this is just the surface. I'm sure we can spend many, many weekends just picking up junk!

It's hard to identify who actually feels so little for their environment that they trash it this way. It's a shame that we have to organize events to clean up after others. But we do it gladly so we can keep our trails open for all to enjoy.
