Painted Sky 2.jpg

BWCA, N. Shore, NE Minnesota

I was paddling on one of the border lakes between Minnesota and Canada. From Nature's broad brush strokes an awe-inspiring autumn sunset surrendered to looming storm clouds. It was too captivating to ignore ... So, I crept out from a cozy shelter with great hesitation; hoping not to get drenched if the clouds decided to burst open. The sunset's peak waned as the the clouds came into their full glory. It was breathtaking to behold. So, I zoomed into the clouds to try and capture the fullest spirit of the painted sky ... its textures and contrasts hoping exposing the skies contrasting moods.

Hope, you marvel in the wonder and spirit much as I did when capturing this scenic. Oh, yes I kept dry ... as the thunder beings took wing and calmed their angry rumblings ... the looming storm became a somber and moody stillness.
