The key, or keys, to taking a long exposure flash portrait? A tripod is a must. Getting the subject to remain reeeaaaly still for the entire time the shutter is open is important - holding your breath helps with that. (Of course, if you're trying to convey a sense of motion, the "ghost image" effect caused by a moving subject would actually be desirable.) If only my hair had decided to cooperate *sigh*...

The moon is obviously overexposed; if I knew anything about how to use layers in Paint Shop Pro, I suppose I could have taken two different exposures and combined them. And once again, the shoreline is crooked. Grrr.
