Bryce Canyon National Park, and the tiny town of Tropic, were the most pleasant surprises on this trip. I don't really know why, but when I was planning the trip, I was probably less excited about staying there than anywhere else. But Bryce was uniquely beautiful, with its clear skies - incredibly blue during the day and filled with stars at night - and the amazing hoodoos that make you wonder how such formations could have naturally occurred. And the Stone Canyon Inn in Tropic was one of the most gorgeous bed & breakfasts I've ever stayed in. The innkeepers, John and Wendy, were friendly and gracious hosts, and eager to share their knowledge of the area. When it was time to leave I found myself wishing I could have stayed at least one more day.
