Cyclone George, 8th March 2007 - Captures from Television News
Tropical Cyclone George impacted the Western Australian coastline around 2200 on Thursday the 8th of March, approx 30km to the east of Port Hedland. It crossed the coast as a high Category 4, with winds estimated to be approximately 275km/h. Unfortunately, it then proceeded to pass over a rail construction camp approx 100km to the south. 1 person was killed at the rail camp and numerous people were injured. These images are captures from television news broadcasts on the evening of the 10th of March and are, quite honestly, horrifying.
