I went on a day trip to Tom Price today and as we were eating lunch (at 1600, but you get that in this job) at Tom Price it started to rain. It was fairly heavy and was still raining when we left for Paraburdoo airport at around 1700. We got to Dingo Creek and were amazed at the water levels! What was almost dry earlier that day was a raging torrent. Other rivers and creeks along the Tom Price to Paraburdoo road weren't the same, so I guess it must have just poured somewhere in the 'right spot' up stream. Paraburdoo Airport received approx 20mm over a couple of hours. Here are some of the photo's I took (remember, rivers up in this neck of the woods are dry most of the year).
