The alarm was set for 0445 this morning, the forecast was for rain, but it turned out to be a beautiful morning. A little crispness in the air as a reported 30,000 people (supposedly another 'record crowd') attended the Anzac Day Dawn Service at the Kings Park War Memorial today, in Perth, Western Australia.
I didn't go to the parade this year, as I went last year, but it was reportedly well attended. Unfortunately, for the first time in 60 years, the ceremony at the completion of the parade was cancelled due to bad weather.
