I met Sally at the Swatch Alternative Fashion Week in Spitalfields, east London in March 2005. I was there as one of the many photographers and managed to talk with Sally a couple of times during that week. One thing that was immediately apparent was that this girl was far more than just another pretty face, she had a very easy natural command of the catwalk and was a photographers dream because you just knew that you would get good photos of the outfits she was modelling.
Sally was signed to Pulse Model Management with almost certainly a promising career ahead of her which has now tragically been cut short.

I'm sorry to hear about the horrific tragedy which has occured and I hope that monster rots in hell. Sally Anne Bowman you are truly a beautiful person and even though we didnt know much about you before as you was an aspiring model, atleast you have touched many people's hearts deeply even if it is not they way you intended to. I wish you to rest in peace and that Mark Dixie feels a horrific death and never gets freedom!

Sally is one of the prettiest models that i've seen because she has beautiful eyes and i know that you must be very proud of her.

sally, iv just sat and watched your mums interview on itv, im a firefighter in london and not much makes me cry, however i wanted to climb into my tv and cuddle your mum. you are absolutly stunning and i want you to watch over every woman. please R.I.P. your best friend has wrote an amazing song about you and im sure you know, i was introduced to lewis through a friend and he will all ways love you and never forget you.

I can't stop thinking about this awful crime and I have followed it for the last 2 weeks. I agree that the death penalty should be brought back for scum like Mark Dixie, I feel the punishment should fit the crime commited. The interview with Mrs Bowman in yesterdays News Of The World was so upsetting. Not only has he taken away a beatiful girl who had her life ahead of her he has also ruined her mothers, fathers and sisters lives. I hope he rotts in hell and gets the crap kicked out of him on a daily basis. Rest in peace beautiful Sally Anne.

I have searched my mind for the right words to express how terribly grief stricken I have been about Sally Ann's murder. There are no words profound enough in my opinion to express the revulsion I felt, and feel.I do hope that Mark Dixie rots, and additionally, hope that maybe this terrible crime will hasten the return of the death penalty in England. It is always sad when anyone loses their life in such a tragedy. Moreso, perhaps, when it is in the blaze of publicity that has drawn itself around Sally-Anne. As a father of two daughters (one just a year younger than Sally-Anne) I can only stand and offer my deepest sympathies to Sally-Anne's family. It is impossible to even begin to imagine what they have been through. Sally-Anne has touched many lives in the world through her brutal passing at such a young age. She is a reminder to all of us that life is so very precious that we should not squander the time we have on this earth. Live life to the full, live it well, live it honourably, and most of all live it in the hope and desire that when our time comes to depart that we can do so with the great expectation to meet those that went before us.

The sentence did not fit the crime! Sally had such a stunning look, unique in fact and her loss is a terrible loss to us all. I cannot express the level of hatred I feel for the "man" who did this without feeling like my heart will burst. I hope the scumbag responsible for taking her from this world suffers a real and lingering hell in prison, and he will if there is any such thing as natural justice.

My heart goes out to anyone who knew and loved Sally and my deepest sympathies and thoughts are with you.

I would just like to extend my most heartfelt thoughts and kindness to the Bowman family and to Sally's friends, I'm so very sorry that we live in a world where the people in our communities, our sisters and daughters cannot be safe and these sorts of disasters happen. I hope that today's guilty verdict gives some justice, though I know I wish we could hang this monster outside the Tower!

reading what that man is saying in court is making me feel pschically sick, he is talking about that poor mothers baby girl like she was an object and that poor family are having to listen to it. That man should be hung, not only has he done it before but he is dragging it out just because he can, what a monster, i cant call him an animal because an animal would never do such things, I am so sorry to the family for having to go through not just losing their loved oned but having to be tortured day after day by his glib tongue, for crimes likes this the victims family should decide their fate, my heart truly goes out to all who are affected by this tradegy. x

i didnt know this young girl in any way ,but ive followed this case and cant understand such actions..i have to say at this time if its him hes 37 the paper says she was 18...what chance did the poor star have ,yet she fought god bless her...it sickens me being a man sometimes and i worry for my young girl..all i can say to sallys familly is face the monster ,never run away and when you get your verdict i will be thinking of you all...

One just needs to view the photos of Sally Anne to realise her unique beauty and gift.
Beyond belief, the level of human depravity that has occurred to her.
One doesn't have all the answers however it is a grim reminder of how precious and fragile every life really is.
