This is Hvítá, the same river as Gullfoss is in. Here the river flows much calmer then in Gullfuss but it has although made some very peculiar forms in the rocks at Brúarhlöður. Here the water is very deap and the current is very strong.
A couple of years ago a car fell into the river just by Brúarhlöður and has never been found again, although search was conducted as one of the passengers fell into the river with the car. The passenger has never been found eighter.
