It was a beautiful day for biking on Block Island. The temps were in the 70s!
The Island is quiet, peaceful, even more so after Labor Day. We got off in the center of town and headed over to the bike rentals. From there we biked to Mohegan's Bluff's about 3 miles away. It was a steady incline that had many of us huffing and puffing. After viewing the spectacular sights at the overlook we walked down to the beach for lunch. We spend a couple of hours on the beach then decided to explore the rest of the island.
Some hearty souls headed for the North Point of Block Island. The rest of us biked some more then headed back to town. After returning our bikes we relaxed and walked around town and then headed for dinner - fried clams, etc. Yummy! It got dark around 6:30 pm, at about the same time we began to get ready to board the ferry back to Pt. Judith. It was a fun, relaxing day for all, even if some of us were exhausted! :)
