House Refinishing with AIT's Paint Shaver

Use the right tool for the job, I always say. I wanted to save the wood clapboards but manually scraping just wasn't doing the job. It's coming along	Me at work. Notice the air tight respirator: every precaution given the potential for lead dust to fly around!	Ouch my back!	Ouch my butt!
Not bad for an afternoon.	Close up shows I need to do some post sanding. I'm not the most adept yet at using this tool.	Another close up.	Shaved, filled, sanded, and ready for primer.

The results of the paint shaver look great! I just learned of these and was curious because I have only seen pictures never seen one in person. Do you think if I were to buy the blades I could attach them to an angle grinder or something and make my own paint shaver. I mean like buy the blades and build some small wood attachment to keep the blades from digging in to the wood (do the same job as the metal housing surrounding your blades)? Seems like it would be easy but I have never seen a paint shaver in person so I dont know, and I don't believve I could afford one bought new.
