Sheila this is such a great shot! I prefer the color but both versions are excellent. On the color, I might desaturate the background slightly. This gets a vote from me, for sure.

I think the black and white works better here, so I agree with your choice. Sheila, it's a lovely capture, it really express the whole mood, her eyes are already shining with tears, her little mouth is already pouting, but still she's apparently quiet, even though so deeply sad, poor little thing. What happened to her? ( smile). I think that natural light when it's not too sharp and direct, is the best for candid portraits like this nice one. Marisa
