Oct 27. Aquilegia

Taken with my old Nikon Coolpix 5000. If I thought
using the Canon dslr was a learning curve, going back to the Nikon
is a bigger one :-) Having to compose in an LCD window sucks.
Anyhow, I'll just have to try, my Canon is in hospital with the spring
which holds the mirror, broken. Of course it is very labour intensive to fix
and is going to cost at least $350 and an unknown number of days/weeks.

Nikon Coolpix 5000
1/623s f/2.8 at 7.1mm iso100 full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto

Beautiful and lovely flower Sheila. :o)
Yes I also agree to Kent and Steve. No matter what kind of camera you use... your photo would still appear superb. It's like it runs through your blood. :o)
Hope you'll get your camera back soon and meanwhile keep enjoy using your Nikon coolpix like it was your first camera.. :o)

Your talent still shows through, you could probably take a good shot with a disposable...lol. Well done. Hope you get the Canon back soon.

This is gorgeous!
I'm with Antidote--why not break in a new 5D and tell us all about full frame!?!?

Carry on with the Nikon, it's not all down to equipment !
Another great macro

Ouch...that's painful. Are you out of warranty already. Anyway, the coolpix still takes a great shot, this one is proof !

Brilliant image Sheila, you know what is said about a workman and his tools.
Well you are a great workman. Vote.

Sorry for you Sheila.
It must be pretty tough to get back to this LCD monitor to compose.
My first reason to buy a DLSR was to get a real viewer: How happy I felt when I got it, I wasn't disappointed at all.
It's a really good macro here, with good DOF, beautiful colours.

I hope that your camera was still under warranty. I just sent my 1d2 for a clean and check before end of warranty (which ends today). It makes me very nervous when I hear stories like this.

Your Coolpix did a beautiful job. I love the delicate colors.

will you survive all that time - SO frustrating!

This is so delicate it looks like it would bruise if you even touched it. Sorry to hear about your camera. Hope it's better soon.
