21 gun salute for the Queen in Kings Park Western Australia.
First time I've heard one, it's LOUD!
The Queen was born on April 21st. In Britain her official birthday is in June.
In Australia, except in the state of Western Australia, it is celebrated on the second Monday of June.
In Western Australia it moves around, sometimes late Sept sometimes early October.
In any event we have a Monday holiday for it making for a 3 day weekend.

Those big guns sure make a lot of smoke! Well caught - and what a beautiful vantage point for the ceremony. Sorry about the footy, I was barracking for them & they NEARLY made it!
