Guest 17-Jan-2009 06:28
Heat .... what's that ? almost 2 weeks of -25°C.
Guest 14-Jan-2009 00:45
Probably halogen but reminded me of the lenses in the 1960's road works lamps ...
J. Scott Coile13-Jan-2009 18:34
You OK??? Hope you did not melt ;-)
Victoria13-Jan-2009 10:54
What a great shot!!!!!!!
Máire Uí Mhaicín12-Jan-2009 23:55
Some of the images I viewed today from Australia convey a sense of this shimmery heat. What a pity we can't average it out between northern and southern hemispheres. This composition is very effective.
Sue Robertson12-Jan-2009 21:46
Love this. Great abstract Sheila.. By the way you didn't have to send that heat over here...
Chris12-Jan-2009 16:41
Get that G&T ready with lots of Ann's ice!! Hope it's not causing too much of a problem. Chris
Jackdad12-Jan-2009 15:06
yes, this shot does convey the heat well.
Wouldn't mind some heat at the moment... but maybe not that hot!
Maaike Huizer12-Jan-2009 11:59
Yes, that is hot and so completely different from temperatures here. We haven't had so much frost for years as we had the last weeks.
This is lovely. I can feel the heat.
Guest 12-Jan-2009 10:25
i feel for you. that is way too much (esp when it has been 2 weeks in a row)!
nice representative image
Guest 12-Jan-2009 05:59
I can imagine!
Could you light a cigarette on this? ;-)
Bryan Murahashi12-Jan-2009 05:32
Great colors and capture of the heat source.
Michael Shpuntov12-Jan-2009 03:37
Striking. LOve the colors and the composition.
carol j. phipps12-Jan-2009 03:35
Sound the alarm ~ temps are rising! :))
Barbara Heide11-Jan-2009 23:25
very nice!
Stewart Mitchell11-Jan-2009 22:16
30 deg sounds pretty attractive to me...stuck, as we are, in darkest mid-winter, This image certainly portays the heat though!! Nice one :-)
Walter Otto Koenig11-Jan-2009 21:16
Very hot abstract. It's warm and sunny here too, but only 81° F/ 27° C.
laine8211-Jan-2009 20:00
Funny isn't it, that when you heat up ours cools a little....love the radiant glow.
jlm11-Jan-2009 18:50
Nice hot abstract !
Mairéad11-Jan-2009 17:38
That's hot! Great hot colours nicely set off by the dark blue.
J. Scott Coile11-Jan-2009 17:05
Scorching temps. Fabulous mini!
s_barbour11-Jan-2009 15:52
Wow! Put a minus sign in front of that, and that is how we are feeling!
Not quite, but it is sitting well below zero these days!
Johnny JAG11-Jan-2009 15:24
Nice one hotshot!
joanteno11-Jan-2009 12:58
I take some of that heat, not all, just some.
beverley harrison11-Jan-2009 12:25

Guest 11-Jan-2009 11:46

Guenter Eh11-Jan-2009 11:45
..we are still expecting ./. 30 C, actually it`s about ./. 20 at night! ;) - the other extreme! Thanks for warming me up with your scorcher (= what is that???) Sheila!
Susan Leigh11-Jan-2009 11:04
You poor thing, its unbearable when its like that!

This is very minimal..but can feel teh heat in it ;-)
Yvonne11-Jan-2009 10:53
Can imagine this is just how you feel with that many
scorchers in a row Sheila. Superb interpretation!
Ann...11-Jan-2009 10:05
I love the red/pink/orange combination. I think you need ice cubes! ;)
pr_rajan11-Jan-2009 09:59
...great shot!~V~
Phillip Normanton11-Jan-2009 09:45
Red hot - put the kettle on for a nice cup of tea :)
Nicki Thurgar11-Jan-2009 09:36
Nicely composed - must be a red light of some sort?! I'm struggling with these "minimal" challenge shots - it's as bad as the abstract challenge!! ;o))
Kathryn11-Jan-2009 09:36
A warm image - nice.
