Circular Quay, Sydney

There is always a downside to a city such as Sydney. At least the winters are benign for folk such as these. Often I give him a meat pie or a sandwich which he accepts without comment.

Woops I didn't read the title to see it was a homeless man. I thought it was a mariner...looks like a man of the sea. Ignore my last comment about looking away.

LOVE the light on this shot, it's just fantastic. Love the pose too. You'd expect someone like this to maybe be camera shy and look away.

First of all, let me say that I registered here for the sole purpose of commenting on this image. It's rare that something shows so much emotion, so much feeling, and speaks so clearly to me that I felt compelled to say something about it. Looking at this photo you can practically hear how hard the years have been for this gentleman.. Simply awe inspiring.
