It was taken about a metre away and cropped. Then it was sharpened through Photoshop. There is a similar shot (same cat) in my Faces gallery but taken with my D60 and 300 f/4 lens. The Ixus is an excellent little p & s but it does not unfortunately come close to the SLRs for quality but excellent all the same.
