27 May: Thank You Morrisons

As we've been away for the weekend I am now playing catch-up.
So....arrived at the Caravan Club Site in Birmingham on Friday, went to book in and pay and...no credit card in my purse!
Panic stations...when did I last use it...shopping in Morrisons the previous evening...
rang the telephone number on the receipt which I did have in my purse to see if I had left it there (proper number too, not one of the 0845s covering all stores)...
straight through...sorry systems down...promised to ring me back...rang back within a few minutes...yes, they had it...relief...I could enjoy my weekend away.
Picked it up today upon provision of suitable ID...so thank you, thank you...to Morrisons for having a sound lost property system, brilliant staff and maybe also to the person who followed me to the till that evening.

Had the same sort of thing when I dropped my wallet in a taxi a few years ago. Unfortunately I'd cancelled all the cards before I got it back though!
