Good title! I was just thinking about the same when I commented on the previous shot. This series provides good story line and more context...Food for thought as Phil said.
Good concept, Kal. Idiots come and go, while the lady in bronze never budges. The statue is hidden in the first two shots -- we almost think she is real, until we see that she has never moved in the last image. The technique is crude -- mergers, chopped off feet, distracting escalators, and of course blurred or partially blurred people. But technique does not really matter here. It is sequence that is a stop action, frame by frame, film like series. As crudely made as these images are it still works, because the haphazard snapshot composition is, in itself, part of the story. Yes, this is expressive. I had seen that statue before in another picture. But I think that anyone looking at that statue for the first time in this sequence will be surprised.
