Nothing nicer than a big bear hug from someone who loves you.

So here is the kind of valentine that you give to an activist! I spent yesterday at the County Board of Supervisors at a meeting with a great group of people concerned about our environment. We came from many walks of life from school teachers, doctors, construction workers, scientists, tribal leaders, elderly retired, young students, business owners and laborers, and everything in between. We all realize if we destroy the last natural wild life sanctuary in Southern California we can never get it back.

This little guy was a delight. We had a great day and a nice ending is a bubble bath to relax before bedtime.

I so love to be at the beach and even though I am afraid of the water I am in awe of the people who surf and enjoy it so much. The strength and power of the waves is captivating. Watching the surfers fall off and then pop back up to collect their boards and head back out for another chance at catching the next big perfect wave.

This guy is soooo spoiled and has no clue he should stay off of my bed. This is the sad look I get when trying to convince him to get down. Got to love him!!

This little bee spent so much time here on the side of my car and I thought it looked as if she was admiring herself in a mirror. I do actually love bees. I find them so beautiful and interesting. I have save many from a pool or ocean foam and they are always so grateful. Never stinging me. Sometimes taking a salutary flight circling around my head before zooming off.

Two little sweet babies... so loving...Brother and sister growing up together...Best friends for life.

I love all creatures great and small. Nothing makes my day more than the encounters I have with God's little critters. I have been known to talk to lizards, snails and yes, even mice and rats.
