Hello,
What a splendid evening it is! A February shower earlier
today added some extra sparkle to the springtime. Just
remember that central Iraq is always two months warmer
than Virginia, so January is like March, February like
April, March like May, April like June, May like July, and
June thru September are hotter than Virginia ever gets
(around 120 degrees!)... Soldiers were braving the mud
puddles to get out and exercise or socialize in the
evening air, which had been made more refreshing by the
rain removing the dust particles. The only thing that
added gloom to this pleasant time of year was the news of
the massive homicide bombing south of Baghdad. Those who
committed this horrible atrocity are not even worthy of
being called animals--maybe fungus. Sorry for getting on
my soapbox.
Anyway, I'm in a rare energetic mood this evening, so I
figured I'd send some more pics of our life in the motor
pool. The pics have been popular in the past, so hopefully
this batch will be no disappointment.
