This is an interaction between 3 groups of animals, a pride of lions, a group or parade of elephants, and a herd of zebras.
It started out with the pride of lions resting under a tree near a watering hole. A herd of zebras were watching from the road as a group of elephants were drinking and standing in the watering hole. Apparently the zebras were skittish about going down to the watering hole while the elephants were in there. At this point, the zebras were not aware of the lions on the other side of the watering hole.
After the elephants left the watering hole, the zebras slowly made their way down for their turn to drink. At the same time, one of the lionesses starts stalking the zebras, while hiding behind the brush. At the right moment, she leaps out, right in front of us, and chases after the zebras who make a mad dash from the watering hole. I thought for sure that she would have gotten one of the zebras as she took them completely by surprise, but she apparently missed them all. She is wearing a radio collar so that rangers can track the movements of the pride.
