South Africa's Garden Route is a beautiful stretch of highway along the southeast coast of the country. This part of the itinerary was recently changed by OAT, and due to some devastating wildfires in the area, we had to do some improvising for the two days from Port Elizabeth where we started, to George, where we then flew down to Cape Town. Our main stops along the way were the cities of Port Elizabeth and Knysna.
Pictures below are from the Port Elizabeth resort complex, a hike along the beach at the Cape Recife Nature Reserve, Jeffrey's Bay, a boat ride from Knysna, and stops along the way.
