Mt. Cook

Mt. Cook is the highest mountain in New Zealand, at 12,316 feet, and is located just about in the center of the South Island. We had wanted to do a ski plane flight over the Mt. Cook area, including the Tasman, Franz Josef and Fox glaciers, with a landing on one of the glaciers, but weather negated that effort. Instead, we did a 'tramp' (New Zealand word for hike) in the area, before heading off to Christchurch.
