Java

Java is the main Island of Indonesia, and we made two stops there, one in Jakarta, the capitol, and the second in Jogjakarta. Jakarta was also where we flew to and from Borneo, for the Borneo pre-trip portion of the main Java/Bali trip.

Leaving Jakarta to fly to Jogjarkarta	Sambisari Temple - a Hindu temple constructed in the 9th century and buried by a volcanic eruption in 1906
Prambanan Temple complex - built in the 9th century, is the largest Hindu temple complex in Indonesia		The original complex had 240 structures, most of which collapsed in an earthquake in the 16th century
			Thousand of blocks are strewn over the temple complex, waiting for reconstruction
