Selfoss is the main gateway to the Golden Circle tourist attractions. This includes Thingvellir National Park, Gullfoss waterfalls, and the Geysir geothermal area. It is also close to the ferry harbor to the Westmann Islands, and to Vik, a growing city in the southeast corner of Iceland where you can see more of Iceland's waterfalls, take a Super Jeep tour to a glacier, and walk along black sand beaches.

Gullfoss, or the Golden Waterfall, is part of the White River, and is probably the most spectacular waterfall in Iceland
