Our visit to Bosnia Herzegovena was primarily to visit the city of Mostar and see the rebuilt bridge separating the eastern and western cultures living in the city. The bridge was built by Sulieman, head of the Ottoman Empire in 1566 and destroyed by the Croats in 1993 as part of the Croat-Bosniak war of independence.
