I went back again, great day, real hot.

Mind you I was late arriving, so I only got one round. But some nice cars, especially the Jag, very cool. Some nice close racing, got an invite to the middle but chickened ( I was also keen on working on motion blurred backgrounds & it's my story & I'm sticking to it ), next time for sure.

I tried 1/40, f29 this time @ 300mm handheld. It's something I need to practise more, it took a few races before I was not getting a heap blurred & it is not a good speed for accidents. Not sure what to do there, as I'm using manual for the 1/40 & I tried AV for fast shutter, but the metering is tough with the cars being such sharp contrast from white to dark, more experimenting :). I'm looking forward to going back with my 170-500 once it gets chipped.

Hi Our 2 day Annual Queen’s Birthday Stock & Saloon meet, at our Taipa, Far North, track, is being held on Sat 31 May & Sun 1 June 2008. We believe you would be interested in us contacting her with details for this year’s meet. We are a little club in the Far North that hosts this event annually. As it is the last meet of the season, and because most other clubs in the North Island have finished their calendars, visiting cars come from a great many clubs. Cars from as far south as Palmerston North meet up at Taipa each year for full on action. Our track is deemed by many of them to be the best surface for grip, and therefore acceleration that can be found in the North Island. We believe this is why they travel long distances each year to compete at this extravaganza of all grades at Taipa.
